Using a 14mm socket loosen off the nut in the centre of the tensioner wheel
Again using the 14mm socket (with extension) slacken off the tensioning bolt until the belt is loose enough to remove.

DO NOT put the new belt on yet as you will not be able to get the Power Steering/Air Con Belt off.

Technical Information

Gates Micro-V® Multi-Ribbed Belts

This low-profile and flexible belt perfectly meets original equipment requirements. Thanks to the improved construction features, Gates Micro-V® multi-ribbed belt offers superb efficiency on todays high-speed drives with smaller diameter pulleys. The belt will adapt easily to back idlers, automatic tensioners and serpentine drives and can handle several accessories simultaneously.

  • Low-profile and longitudinal V-ribs ensure excellent flexibility, reduce internal heat build-up and increase belt stability.
  • Strong polyester cords improve load-carrying capacity and lessen tension decay.
  • Solid top layer protects the belt.
  • Fibre-reinforced rubber compound resists oil drops, wear and pilling.
