I have found that the standard FTO steering wheel (pre momo airbag model) was ugly and uncomfortable to drive with on long journeys making the palms for my hands sore. So I embarked on a mission to get a replacement wheel, After seeing and feeling the comfort of Chris Hayes MOMO Tornado wheel (Carbon Look) whilst on the Scottish Rally in May 2000. I decided that this was the wheel for me, but the carbon fibre effect was not to my taste, so I found that MOMO had just released an alternative to the carbon look one with silver inserts.

First thing was to make sure I managed to get a MOMO Boss Part No. 6110 to suit a Mitsubishi Gallant 1995. as I had seen other makes (raid etc.) which were not really designed for the car, this was the big problem, I ran Demon Tweaks and placed an order in 1st week June, ran them at the end of June to check when It would be in, "Sorry Sir, we don't an order on our system from you" Placed another Order, as promise of 2-3 weeks max. 3 weeks later, "Sorry Sir MOMO in Italy will be shut till September we should have it in 2 week September. Now getting a bit pissed off, I ran MOMO in Italy, "Sorry Sir you will have to talk to 'Brown and Gleson' our distributors in the UK" so I did "Sorry Sir you will have to deal with an outlet we suggest you contact DEMON TWEAKS we have just supplied them with 40 bosses for the Gallant model 6110" Ran Demon Tweaks again and asked about that shipment.. "Sorry Sir those were shipped straight to Japan" ??????? But your order will be in in September. So back to square one and wait.

Whilst at the Japanese Auto Extravaganza on 29th July I was talking to Kevin from Ralliart UK about FTO Parts and accessories in general and he said "We have some nice MOMO steering wheels in stock".. "Say that again" I said Yes in stock. OK I will be up Monday morning first thing to collect 2 off. I am now the proud owner of a MOMO Boss :)))))

Now we could order the steering wheels. After looking through Redline, FastCar, etc adverts and phoning around. I found the the best price for both the wheels we wanted (Tornado and Top Power) was from the local Halford Superstore, (£129 each) ready to collect within in 2 days. Sorted....
